Welcome to the UQ Public Health Association (UQ PHA)! We are a vibrant and inclusive faculty-based student society at the University of Queensland, dedicated to fostering a community of undergraduate and postgraduate students passionate about public health, health sciences, epidemiology, environmental health, and other related areas.
Our membership base is diverse and dynamic, consisting of students and staff from a wide range of disciplines, including social science, biomedical science, statistics, law, nursing and medicine. As a faculty-based society, UQ PHA works closely with the School of Public Health at UQ to provide a supportive environment and additional resources for students pursuing degrees or subjects in public health, biostatistics, epidemiology, nutrition, health promotion, health systems, and health economics.
At UQ PHA, we believe that collaboration and interdisciplinary approaches are essential to addressing the world's most critical and emerging public health issues. By bringing together like-minded individuals, we aim to create a platform for social and professional interactions, where members can exchange knowledge, share experiences, and inspire each other to make a positive impact in the field of public health.
